Special dinner on a Saturday night with my 16-yr old daughter. We sat right by the patio inside the glassed-in part of the dining room. Service was good and we were checked on by multiple managers. I had had the sirloin steak and my daughter had chicken under a brick. The chicken was perfectly cooked, juicy and tender. For dessert we shared a slice of the birthday cake (always on the menu), even though it wasn't our birthday. Cake was 11/10.

After a few beers. Started with figs and goat cheese appetizer portion big enough to share. Then my main brunch meal Intrigued by it I had the bacon and cheese and egg pizza. Was delicious and again could be shared but too good Then for dessert the freshest creamiest lemon crème brûlée It was the perfect spring dessert to go with the perfect weather Saturday afternoon in the park Smart people had the outside open and it was a great day. The staff very accommodating and helpful with friends cocktail choices. Thank you Mother Nature for a wonderful day at The a jewel of New York City.

This is the kind of place that could have easily been overhyped because of its location, but it really was great. What more could you ask for than a nice lunch on a beautiful spring day in the middle of Central Park? The food was great, there were options for everyone, they had an extensive wine and cocktail list, the service was quick and helpful. I got the crispy chicken sandwich and my husband got the special - a steak sandwich. It was expensive, to be expected, but the portions were ginormous. We were lucky enough to be there for the first day the patio was open. If you get the chance to go and sit outside, even for just a glass of wine and soup or salad, it's worth it!

We had dinner after a carriage ride. It was a good experience, with professiona service, good but not great food, and a very attentive setting. We had items from both the children and adult menu. The prices were touristy of course. It's a must do for New York.

We went for brunch to celebrate a birthday. The waiter gave us a history of the place, which was very informative. Our food was delicious and our friend got ice cream and birthday cake for dessert. The food came out fast and our coffees were refilled quickly. Great place to go with girlfriends.

So this was actually my main food destination for New York in my recent visit, and they did not disappoint. Price wise its going to set you back a bit, especially for a full 3 course meal, however you can get away with around 40$ for just a non-alcoholic drink and an entree. Their drink list has options for everyone, and I have to sing PRAISES for the Fireside Chat cocktail. So much so I am making it a mission to recreate it while I am home in AZ. They have a wonderfully cozy little bar area for you to relax while you wait for a table, including some seats by the fireplace. The main seating area was beautiful, and with outside seating closed, the reflection lines up perfectly with the outside so it seems as if the kitchen is also in the patio area, which I thought was just a neat little design choice. 10/10 on the Fireside chat. If you like a cinnamon kind of drink, this is perfect, especially on a cold New York night. Now, the food. I had the Honey and Roasted Fig salad, the caramelized rack of lamb, and the peanut butter molten chocolate lava cake. The salad was a wonderfully light way to begin the meal, especially with the mini baguette provided. Goat cheese, beef, arugula, and fig drizzled in honey. Not much else to say on that one. 8/10 simply because for the price, and simplicity. The main course was the rack of lamb with pureed sweet potato and broccoli. The sweet potato was perfectly seasoned, delicious, and a great pairing for lamb. The Broccoli was, well, broccoli. While again seasoning is on point and it had the perfect amount of crispness, its broccoli on a plate. The lamb was the real star. I had it medium rare and it still practically leapt off of the bone with the fat melting in the mouth. along with a gravy, it was easily some of the best lamb I have ever had in my life, my only thing even close to a complaint was the plating, as it did seem everything was just kind of...piled onto the plate, but hey, I will take that over a tiny portion made to look all fancy any day. 10/10 for the lamb 9.5 out of 10 for the whole dish simply because I do wish they had done a bit more with the broccoli and because I feel they could have spent just a bit more time on the plating to make it look a little nicer. The Lava cake was very good, and served with a bit of vanilla bean ice cream as a perfect companion on its bed of crushed peanuts. Paired it with a lovely cup of some very fine cappuccino that I didn't even have to add anything to. Maybe just a taaad bit less whipped cream, but it was REAL whipped cream. 9/10 Topped it off with a little visit to the gift shop for a few souveneirs. all in all an amazing visit and I hope to return one day

Beautiful restaurant in Central Park with Christmas decorations, perfect to grab a drink or some lunch/dinner. I came with my husband to have a drink - we got the seasonal beer and the Kolsch. Both were very good, but the seasonal beer was the star. A very unique (in a good way) flavor! Very attentive service. Overprice but that's what I was expecting. Make reservations in advance, it's very crowded during the holiday season.

I was recently in NYC for buying and we all had lunch together at Tavern on the Green. If you've never been here, you are simply letting the best in life pass you by. It located in Central Park in the heart of NYC. It's within walking distance of New York City's famous Times Square. They really know how to treat their grateful customers. The food is excellent and the service is second to none. We had a wonderful experience here and I'm already planning my next visit. If the weather is nice, I highly recommend sitting outside.
